Eastbourne BID
A BID (a business improvement district) is a business-led, business-funded initiative to improve and enhance a commercial area - in our case, Eastbourne town centre. The Eastbourne BID is backed by the local businesses in Eastbourne.
The Eastbourne BID was developed after listening to how the local community want to see the town centre develop. It is the result of many hours of consultations, 1-2-1s, group meetings and surveys.
Eastbourne BID’s goal is to prevent a two-tier town centre where all of the town benefits from the investments made. Where every penny raised is invested in creating a strong trading environment while ensuring that Eastbourne is a destination visitors wish to come back to again and again
Locate East Sussex
Locate East Sussex is the official inward investment company for East Sussex. It supports the growth of the local economy of East Sussex by supporting existing companies within the county to grow and by attracting new business investment.
It is funded by the county council together with the district and borough councils of East Sussex and until 2023, the European Union’s Regional Development Fund, as part of a wider South East Invest project that involves East Sussex County Council and Kent County Council.
Locate East Sussex has an experienced and dedicated team to support any sized business that is either already based in East Sussex or companies moving into the county to access funding to help grow our economy and create jobs in local communities.
The Enterprise Centre
The Enterprise Shopping Centre is one of the most exciting and unusual places to shop and eat in Sussex. It is full of Independent stores offering unique ranges, not often found on the high street.
The Centre has an eclectic mix of boutique-style shops, all under one big sunny Victorian glass roof. It is located in the heart of Eastbourne, next to the Eastbourne Railway Station.
Eastbourne Borough Council is the local authority for the borough of Eastbourne in East Sussex.
The Council aspires to provide outstanding customer service and provide Eastbourne’s communities with a great place to live, work and enjoy by playing a key role in community leadership and enabling the long-term sustainability and resilience of the town’s communities. This is particularly important as the council continues to redevelop and regenerate Eastbourne as well as provide new homes.
